Abstract
Cholescintigraphy has proven to be the imaging study of choice for the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis and has been found quite useful for the diagnosis and evaluation of a variety of other hepatobiliary diseases. Several atlases of radionuclide hepatobiliary imaging have previously been published.1–3 This atlas describes and illustrates recent advances in cholescintigraphy. The emphasis is on newly described scintigraphic findings helpful in diagnosis as well as improvements or modifications in technique and computer processing.
