Abstract

One of the major qualities I find in Wilkinson’s work is that, despite being widely known and a recognized expert in the field of breast surgery, he is still interested in trying new techniques and enhancing his own skills by their incorporation, should they prove worthy. As one of the pioneers in the periareolar approach, Wilkinson has constantly searched for new ways to improve his results, as can be seen in this chapter, in which he reveals his sources and what has influenced him. This is a clear, “how to” chapter for both the expert and the beginner wanting to perform this procedure.
