Abstract
This chapter concerns the new concepts introduced in the field of plastic surgery, particularly in regard to the ability of the skin to retract. Plastic surgeons have learned how to take advantage of the skin’s elasticity. Techniques such as liposuction and periareolar breast reduction1-3 have proved that large areas and tissue volumes can be treated successfully through minimal incisions.
