Abstract

In this section we illustrate our main theorem, Theorem 5.12, in the simple, crucial case of the unit disc, showing that there is a natural way to embed the tree in the unit disc, and to transplant the Nagel—Stein approach family constructed for the tree to a Nagel—Stein approach family for the unit disc. This is made more precise in the following Theorem 5.1, which is a special case of Theorem 5.12.
