Abstract

In 1959 Radford Tanzer1 wrote, “One hesitates to generalize on a method buttressed by two completed cases. However, it seems fair to state that a technique of ear reconstruction has been devised which is applicable to several types of microtia, … a firm knowledge of the principles involved in the manipulation of tissue with minimal scaring.” He created history in ear repair.*
