Abstract
It has snowed for the past two days. Flurries drifted down from white skies, endlessly. Finally today the blue broke through. The sun heated the rocks that poked up through the snow like little furnaces, melting the white away in rings, exposing soil to absorb still more sun. The tiniest arroyos have begun to run with riffling, gurgling rivulets.
