Abstract
Consider a group G and a subgroup Γ ≤ G. We are interested here in the centralizer Z G (Γ), normalizer N G (Γ), and commensurator C G (Γ) (see (6.1)). In (6.2)—(6.4), G will be a topological group. From (6.5) on, G = Aut(X), where X is a tree. Whenever we assume that Γ is an X-lattice, it is implicity assumed also that X is locally finite.
