Liquid Drop Formation on a Solid Surface

In this chapter, we will show how to simulate the formation of a liquid drop, taken to be water, on a horizontal solid surface, taken to be graphite. At present, for computational simplicity, attention will be restricted to two-dimensional simulations. Nevertheless, all the ideas and methods do extend to three dimensions.
