Abstract
Do not simply turn off the Linux system! First the command shutdown must be executed. This command is executed automatically when you initiate a reboot with Ctrl + Alr + Del. Failure to carry out a proper shutdown can cause inconsistencies in the file system because for disk access Linux uses buffers in RAM. These buffers must be written to the hard disk in a controlled way before the system is turned off. To conduct a shutdown, log in as root and type in the command shutdown On display of the following message, you can turn off the computer: Now you can turn off the power.
