Abstract
In Section 9.1 we learned some basic Latex instructions for manipulating font shape, family and series; i.e., how to print in italic and/or bold, how to shift between serif and sans serif. Up until now we have ignored fonts; your documents have automatically been printed in one or another of the Computer Modern fonts. We now systematically examine font features and learn how to specify fonts to make use of the extensive collection that come with the Linux distribution.
