Abstract

The indications for abdominal-perineal resection for Crohn’s disease are (1) Crohn’s proctitis unresponsive to medical management, (2) severe debilitating perianal Crohn’s disease, (3) any other medical reason for which the patient is unsuitable for ileorectal anastomosis.
