Abstract

In this and the next two chapters we examine various obvious necessary conditions for triangularizability of semigroups to determine whether they are also sufficient. When they are not, we consider whether they at least imply reducibility. These investigations lead to insights into the structure of irreducible collections satisfying certain spectral conditions.
