Abstract

The standard metric for homogeneous and isotropic spaces can be written in many forms [1–5], including this version for spherical curvature:

$$ds^2 = c^2 dt^2 - R^2 (t)\left\{ {dr^2 + R^2 \sin ^2 (r/R)(d\theta ^2 + \sin ^2 \theta d\varphi ^2 } \right\}.$$
