Abstract
As if life was not complicated enough, in the midst of beginning your search for the ideal residency, you still have to finish medical school. One part of that task will be the selection of senior electives. While the number and latitude of electives available will vary from school to school, the choice of electives cannot be treated lightly. The choices you make will affect not only your knowledge base but may be used to enhance your preparation for a residency. This is also a good opportunity to seek guidance from your mentor throughout this process.
