Models With Dependent Sink and Source

Abstract

Assume that “the environment” met by an air parcel is described by a stationary process X(t) which completely determines the sink intensity and the source strength, in such a way that
$$\lambda (t) = \widetilde{\lambda }\left( {X\left( t \right)} \right) $$
and
$$Q\left( t \right) = \widetilde{Q}\left( {X\left( t \right)} \right) $$
where
$$\widetilde{\lambda }\left( x \right)$$
and
$$\widetilde{Q}\left( x \right)$$
are deterministic functions. This approach may be realistic if the variation is induced by the movement of the air parcel.
