Theorems on the Solutions of The Boltzmann Equation

  • Chapter
The Boltzmann Equation and Its Applications

Part of the book series: Applied Mathematical Sciences ((AMS,volume 67))

Abstract

In this chapter we shall describe the mathematically more advanced part of the theory of the Boltzmann equation, based on the use of techniques of functional analysis. The main results refer to existence and uniqueness theorems and the qualitative behaviour of the solutions of the Boltzmann equation.
