Paired Samples

Paired samples occur when observations corne in pairs, such as the heights of mixed-sex twins or the pulse rates of joggers before and after jogging. The interest is normally in the pairwise differences, such as the difference in height between the male and female in each twin pair, or the change in pulse rate of each jogger.
