Abstract

This work deals with the design of a stable model reference adaptive pole assignment control scheme for continuous-time SISO systems based on state variable filters, so that the availability requirement for the derivatives of the plant output can be removed. Firstly, the relevant problem is solved in the known parameters case. Then, a suitable controller structure which directly tunes both the plant and the model parameters is chosen in order to minimize the number of parameters to be adjusted. Finally, the global stability analysis of the adaptive control scheme is performed.
