Abstract
By using a new model of human lymphoid cells with a strong and stable expression of the transfected Epstein-Barr virus glycoprotein 350 (gp350) gene, we illustrate here that the gp350 molecule serves as target for the EBV-specific antibody mediated cellular cytotoxicity. Interestingly, mouse monoclonal antibodies to gp350 do not seem to be able to mediate such a cellular killing activity.
