Abstract
“When I stepped up on the front veranda, Preacher Nelson invited me to have a seat on the glider off to the right, facing their landscaped front garden. I sat for several minutes. The stillness was not broken except for the squeak of the glider’s chains rubbing against each other as the preacher pushed himself to and fro.
