Abstract
“Tell me boy, what’s your name?” Fanny Hawk asked. “My name is Gene.” “What does Will call you?” “Will calls me ‘nephew’, ‘son’, ‘boy’. Mostly he calls me Nephew.” “What kin are you to Will; why is this important to you?” “Well, Uncle Will is really my grandma’s brother, so he is my great uncle, but I’ve always sort of liked him and ain’t none of the rest of the family ever cared much about him. He’s sick now. As a matter of fact, I thought Tuesday night he was going to die, but he’s a lot better today.
