Abstract
Intracranial and intraorbital complications are often the first indication of untreated or partially treated sinus disease. All patients presenting with an intracranial or orbital infection must be evaluated for the presence of occult sinus disease. Successful treatment of intracranial and intraorbital complications of sinusitis requires the recognition and successful treatment of the initial focus of infection within the sinuses.
