Abstract
Let us look back at some of our trigonometric identities. We first noted that \( {\sin^2}\alpha + {\cos^2}\alpha = 1 \) for any acute angle α. When we extended the definition of sin α and cos α to angles greater than 90° and less than 0°, we noted that the identity still held true.
