Part of the book series: Progress in Nonlinear Differential Equations and Their Applications ((PNLDE,volume 45))

Abstract

In this chapter we give a complete catalogue of the set of bounded solutions B of the Symmetric Bistable equation, or SBS equation,

$$u^{i\upsilon } + qu'' + u^3 - u = 0,$$
(1.3.1)

when the spectrum at the stable uniform states u =+1 and u = - 1 is real valued.
