Abstract
For the convenience of discussions in this monograph, the definitions, formulas, and fundamental properties related to the Boltzmann equation are summarized without their detailed explanations and derivations. They are found, for example, in introductory parts of Grad [1958], Kogan [1969], Cercignani [1988, 2000], or Sone&Aoki [1994], but not all the materials in one book. The basic notations used in this monograph also are explained here for easier reference.
