Abstract
Our own personal histories have become balkanized, stored across social networks, Web services, and smartphone applications. With the new affordability of rapid prototyping techniques such as laser cutting and 3D printing, mass customization of physical products is now possible. How then do we design products that tell stories and hold memories as unique as the people that purchase them?
