Abstract

Accurate hemodynamic measurements is important for the accurate assessment of valvular lesions, especially when the decision for invasive surgical therapy has to be made. Though guidelines recommend imaging modalities as the standard for valvular assessment, the catheterization laboratory still remains important for accurate measurements and the confirmation of diagnoses, especially in patients with suboptimal or equivocal imaging results
