Abstract
Starting on Darwin’s notion of a combination of sound scientific methods and human combinatory and judgmental power, this study set out to develop a comprehensive approach for the anticipation of converging industries. Despite the plentiful literature on different methodologies to predict the future—or rather a set of ‘possible futures’—the scattered literature on convergence is lacking a concept for a science-based prediction of convergence.
