Abstract
Livedo reticularis is a major clue to the diagnosis. While not specific for Hughes syndrome, it is important, often pointing to a more aggressive clinical history.
In patients with venous thrombosis and occlusions, chronic skin ulcers are sometimes seen in Hughes syndrome – important because anticoagulation can hasten ulcer healing.
