Abstract
This opening chapter describes the objectives and the purposes of this book, giving the reader a general framework for a first understanding of the audit methodology. Green Energy Audit proposes a different approach to the analysis of the existing buildings, the objective is to improve sustainability by applying retrofit measures not only in the area of energy efficiency. Finally, this chapter examines the structure of the book, defining the various parts that constitute it. The book is conceived to form a useful instrument for learning about and acting on the subject matter.
