Abstract

The GORE Septal Occluder is a non-self centering device made from five nitinol wires encased in a layer of ePTFE. The device can be used for closure of PFO and small to moderate size ASD, as well as fenestrations in Fontan conduits. Studies reports high closure rate as well as low complication rate, particular no erosion.
