Abstract
Acute coronary syndromes are a group of conditions precipitated by a reduction or cessation of blood flow through the coronary arteries. An acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a medical emergency requiring immediate intervention. ACS encompasses any narrowing or obstruction of the coronary arteries leading to acute symptoms.
