Abstract
The presented system used for measurement and control of a steel furnace’s product parameters is composed of an industrial PC, a RS-485 network, an ADAM-5000 DA and C system, and necessary sensors, etc. Its HMI software is programmed using KingView6.0. Because it is needed for the monitoring system to interchange data with the factory’s MIS, an OPC server is configured to support such an application, and an OPC client software is programmed to get and send data through an Ethernet.
