Abstract

The confiuence of consumer technologies and electronic health records has resulted in levels of mobility for clinicians previously not seen. In the short span of about 90 days, Partners HealthCare delivered a mobile app, enabling providers to use their consumer smart phones to securely access the organization’s electronic medical record. The mobile EHR app (mEHR) has heavily leveraged existing enterprise architecture, providing for high levels of security, availability, and agility.
