Abstract
A 68-year-old man presented with an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) discovered on routine examination. A duplex scan revealed a 60-mm infrarenal aneurysm extending to the left common iliac artery. The patient was otherwise asymptomatic, with no abdominal or back pain. His medical history was significant for hypertension controlled by bitherapy, non-insulin-dependent diabetes diagnosed 5 years previously, claudication with a walking distance of 400 m, and a smoking history of 40 packs/year. He had no history of myocardial infarction (MI) or angina pectoris.
