Abstract
Some one third of all the globes received in a routine laboratory service will exhibit pathological changes which illustrate the final stages of processes initiated by trauma. While “trauma” embraces all forms of insult — chemical, toxic, radiation, etc. — in practice, mechanical injury is the most frequently encountered.
