Abstract

There have been an enormous number of clinical trials in headache in recent years, largely as a result of the introduction of the International Headache Society diagnostic criteria for headache [1], and the development of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5HT) agonists for acute treatment, originally by one company. Interested readers are referred to an authoritative multi-author text that has recently been published [2].
