Abstract

The biomechanics of the spine starts at conception. Soon after the gametes meet, their DNA combine to combine all the genes necessary to determine the unique aspects, both static and dynamic, of the spine that is so important for erect bipedal posture — the basic characteristic of the human skeleton.
