Abstract

The chapters in this section are written by people with rather different backgrounds: some come from the humanities, some from engineering. This is not unique to this book, but is rather the normal state of affairs in research and development of multimedia. But although these different qualifications are necessary, interdisciplinary cooperation and communication are not without difficulties (and joy!).
