Abstract

The organizing committee of FM89 invited individuals from Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with a concerted effort to have a reasonable distribution of professional backgrounds. There were many difficult decisions as to whom to invite; consequently, a number of meritorious individuals were not invited. As this was a workshop, and not a conference, the organizing committee aimed to have a total of fifty individuals. In fact, fifty-three individuals participated.
