Abstract

Dialog boxes are a special type of window which are used for either displaying information, or in some cases asking for information. You can create your own custom dialog boxes, but there are also a set of standard dialogs for operations that applications frequently use, for example there is a standard dialog which is used for opening a file. It is no accident that every Windows application displays the same format of dialog box when carrying out these types of action.
