Abstract
The third paradigm for the distribution of systems is based on the concept of object which, here, represents an encapsulation of processing functions. Middleware supporting remote execution of operations on objects is called ORB1 (Object Request Broker). The standard for this technology is called CORBA2 (Common Object Request Broker Architecture).
