Abstract
The most basic study of any language is lexical; without knowing the rules for constructing words, we cannot begin to write books, or even to construct a single sentence. Communication is impossible. Likewise, before we can write a meaningful C++ program, we must learn the rules for constructing ‘words’, or more correctly tokens.
