Abstract
John Hunner’s “elusive” ulcer has eluded me. I see many patients who “should” have a Hunner’s ulcer, but I have yet to find one. I see many patients who “should” have interstitial cystitis, but I am not sure I can define the disease, let alone diagnose it. I am hesitant to tell my patients that they have “painful bladder disease”. They already know they have bladder pain, and I have very little, either diagnostically or therapeutically, to add.
