Abstract

Rapid access diagnostic clinics are widely used by many medical specialities to ensure early diagnosis of serious pathology. Urologists are familiar with haematuria and prostate assessment clinics, but diagnostic testicular swelling clinics are unusual. We report the 5 year experience of such a clinic. Patients were referred to the clinic as either urgent or routine. From December 1, 2000, in line with UK government guidelines, attempts were made to see urgent cases within 14 days. All patients had a clinical examination and scrotal ultrasound.
