Abstract

Relative overrepresentation of the short of chromosome 12, mostly as isochromosomes (i(12p)), is considered to be characteristic for testicular germ cell tumours (TGCTs). Here we show that gain of 12p is not one of the initiating events in the development of TGCTs, but is related to invasive growth.
