Abstract
Avascular necrosis (AVN) has been described as a complication of combination chemotherapy, especially where it includes intermittent high dose corticosteroids. We have recently reported five patients treated with chemotherapy for testicular tumours who developed symptomatic avascular necrosis following chemotherapy with steriods used as an antiemetic [1]. In this study we aim to assess the prevalence of avascular necrosis in patients who have received first line chemotherapy for testicular tumours.
