Abstract

DNA Topoisomerase I (Topo I) is the target of the camptothecins, topotecan and irinotecan, which show activity against several solid cancers. DNA topoisomerase II (Topo II) is the target of etoposide, which is active against some testicular tumours. The immunohistochemistry of these molecular targets has not been investigated in non-seminomatous germ cell tumours.
