Abstract

Cluster headache is the most easily definable syndrome among patients with headache—it emerged as a distinct entity in the computer analysis of Drummond and Lance (1984a) when they attempted the systematic separation of 600 patients according to their headache histories. Using the computer they were able to identify 54 of the 58 patients previously given the clinical diagnosis of cluster headache.
