Abstract

The Bochum Study I–III had been performed as a longitudinal study (1982–1991) on pupils of 11 secondary schools (Gymnasium) of the city of Bochum, when being in the 5th and later in the 9th and 13th classes. A questionnaire, physical examination as well as Doppler sonographic and photoplethysmographic investigations had been done with all the pupils explored in this study.
